Welcome to St. Mikes Running Club! 

 

Join us as we come together as a running and walking community.

 

There are several groups to choose from, so find one that is perfect for you. 

 

All of our groups are free and open to anyone in the community.

 

We hope to see you running or walking  with us!

What Is It?

A training program designed to train and help members to run a 5K.

Members are strongly urged to seek medical advice before starting any physical training program

 

When?

We meet one day each week for on the road group training.

Training consists of your personal weekly long runs and group meeting runs.

On the road group meeting times will be announced by July 15 depending on the group sizes.

 

Additional Details

It is expected that you will work out 5 to 6 days a week on your own; this includes 2 mid-week short runs. Note: training for this will be provided.

Members can not miss more than 3 consecutive classes to remain an active St. Mikes Run Club member (i.e. 3 consecutive days of classes).

 

Races

We will register as a team for various 5K’s throughout the year. 

Currently we have the following race on schedule:  Big River Crossing 5K/Half Marathon.

Other races will be announced.

 

What You Will Need

You will need running shoes.

 Watch and/or timing device that you carry and bring to all runs.

Running accessories: water bottle and items needed for nutrition.
